Client: Honest History Co.In 2021 I had the pleasure of working with an award-winning magazine Honest History Co based in Los Angeles, USA. The work was for Issue 13 of the children's history magazines.They approached me to create portraits of the Kenyan Political Activist, Wangari Maathai, she is the founder of "the Green Belt Movement, an environmental non-governmental organization" and the Nigerian Novelist and writer of "Things Fall Apart", Chinua Achebe.Approach:I decided to go with a timeless effect on the portraits by making them in greyscale just like black and white pictures and placing them on tribal patterns backgrounds.
