ABOUT
No Man’s Land offers rarely-seen female perspectives on the First World War, featuring images taken by women who worked as nurses, ambulance drivers, and official photographers, as well as contemporary artists directly inspired by the conflict.
Working with the the team at Impressions Gallery, I designed the exhibition Identity, exhibition graphics and print materials for the national touring exhibition.
The touring exhibition, which was seen by over 100,000 people, revealed startling and heartbreaking insights into experiences of conflict, and helped create a richer and more inclusive understanding of the First World War.
"It has been an absolute pleasure working with Rachael on a number of design projects at Impressions Gallery. Every aspect of working with Rachael has been seamless and she consistently produces innovative, high quality designs that we are delighted to receive. Rachael really takes the time to listen us as clients, and is open to our ideas whilst using her knowledge and experience to guide us towards the best solution for our needs. Rachael has always produced work on time and to budget, creating some fantastic designs even when presented with a short lead time. As a visual arts organisation, strong design is very important for us and Rachael’s work matches our aspirations and takes the kernel of our ideas to the next level. We have no hesitation in recommending Rachael and look forward to continuing to work with her in future.”
