Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Rachael Graham and I am a graduate womenswear design student from the London College of Fashion. I am looking to gain employment within the fashion industry and am interested in being considered to work with your company.

I have five years experience working in retail and have gained many skills in selling, customer service, and market, brand and trend awareness. I dealt with deliveries and stock- taking as well as Visual Merchandising and Mannequin Styling. The manager recognised my communication abilities by giving me the role of Service Motivator to staff. I gained invaluable experience in the retail fashion trade and sales during my time in retail and achieved Advanced level training.

As part of the FDT: Womenswear course I have worked on various projects including industry briefs and group work. Throughout my education I have developed skills in pattern cutting, sewing, researching, design, illustration and fabric selection and sourcing. I also have an existing background in textiles. I have completed work placements, detailed in my attached CV, with both fashion and textile designers, where I worked creatively with other people developing communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
