ABOUT

PRP worked with WaterAid to create an immersive promenade experience within Buckingham Palace’s East Gallery as part of a Royal reception for 300 campaigners, policy makers and key partners hosted by His Majesty King Charles III.

Installed and tested in just 3 hours a series of bespoke plinths incorporating paired 8k screens and directional audio were used to create three distinct installations within the East Gallery; whilst a bespoke sculptural screen and mirror cube transformed the dais within the State Ballroom.

Content from WaterAid projects around the world was used across the installations to reinforce the fact that the Climate Crisis is a Water Crisis, whilst hard hitting statistics such as that 1 in 10 people don’t have access to clean water elevated the scale of the issue.

Alongside these key messages the final installation showcased the story of Merifa and Rachel, two school children from Malawi, and the impact access to clean water has had on their lives. Soundtracked by field recordings of Rachel’s school choir, this installation demonstrated the difference access to clean water has on the lives of communities like Rachel and Merifa’s; showing that Change starts with Water.

In the State Ballroom a fast paced edit of condensed portraiture of hundreds of people from across the WaterAid community into a dynamic piece of film shown on the specially designed display.

The content created for the installations continues to be used by WaterAid across multiple channels, whilst the immersive experience is being further developed for key global moments like COP30.
