About me

I have recently graduated from Loughborough University where for three years I have been studying Multi-Media Textiles. I am interested in the fashion industry as well as designing textiles.

Over the past year my designs have become preliminary patchwork based, I am inspired by the concepts of origami and the patterns it creates. Folded lines create patterns which can be transferred into patchwork design. Leaving raw edges exposed, seams become a feature rather than being hidden. I am a motivated and hardworking individual, who is excited by the idea of constructing or manipulating fabric for fashion.

As well as having a continuing interest in textile design, I have interests in fashion. The latest styles and trends support my textile work a great deal; being aware of fashion designs and the latest colours is an important part of my work. Nothing excites me more than visiting fashion stores or looking through fashion magazines and seeing beautifully cut clothes and striking prints. Working within the fashion industry would give me great pleasure and enthusiasm.
