Communications/ Marketing role

I am currently working as an Assistant Manager for a high end fashion concession and am looking to use the skills I have developed through this and previous positions as a transition into a new career that I am truly passionate about.

I've been living in Manchester for four years now after a move from University and have worked in the city center since three years before, mostly in retail whilst I built foundations in the city.

I hold a strong interest in communications, both internal and mass media, and the impact they can have. I would love to progress in a career that involves harnessing these messages in a beneficial way for the individual and society. I come from a healthcare background with a great interest in science, health promotion and research. As my Mother was a Midwife I have adopted a keen interest in the understanding and preconceptions of pregnancy and encourage education programs that give Mothers-to-be an true insight into their labour.

I have attained a 2:1 BA (Hons) Communication Studies with Psychology which has given me the foundation of understanding of all levels of media communications as well as the fundamentals of Psychology.

I am a caring person and am looking for a position that I feel can fulfil my potential, working as part of a team for a good cause in a creatively-focused environment. I am an organised, passionate person with a considerate nature. I thrive in a team as well as under my own leadership, thinking creatively and supporting others whenever they need help. I also make a good cup of tea! I am very competent at using most Microsoft computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I am good at solving complex tasks logically and in managing and prioritising workload. But I am also eager and passionate to learn more skills and develop existing talents, and would relish the chance to do this as part of a thriving company.
