About me

I have used many CAD packages in my degree course, most notably CATIA V5 which I have used extensively for 3+ years, Delcam Powershape and Pro-Engineer. I have also undertaken many design related courses which have consisted of the use of Photoshop to create posters, banners, logos, posters etc for various projects. In my elective project, all of the design work was done in sketchbook through initial concepts to developing ideas and ultimately coming up with a final solution.

I have undertaken various projects, both design and manufacturing based where I have research materials for bikes to designing folding cars and promotional freebies. I also have worked in groups, in the second year of my course; we were put into groups and looked at the business side of setting up a company. I am very competent in CAD packages especially with 3D modeling as I have modeled various parts and processes in 3D using CATIA V5, Solidworks and Delcam Powershape. At Enpure I have also completed an animation project whereby I have modeled and animated a water treatment process for a convention. I am highly skilled in 3D modeling and I am also very artistic and creative in my approach to carrying out work.

I have garnered 18+ months experience at Enpure Ltd where I am working as a CAD trainee. My principal duties have included the management of external drawings. I have also been exposed to the use of a wide range of software packages which have enhanced my 2D drafting and 3D modeling skills. Those packages include AutoCAD, SolidWorks and 3D Studio Max. I have also been exposed to the drafting aspect of creating and modifying process and general arrangement drawings in AutoCad. I have increased used in AutoCAD whereby I have been modifying P&IDs and also creating layouts and general layouts of sites and various processes around our water treatment sites.

I am very comfortable using a computer and I am very knowledgeable in all the Microsoft applications. I am a very creative person, who often likes to think outside the box. This is turn helps with designs, making them more imaginative and breaking away from the norm.

I am very hardworking and always stick to deadlines. Problem solving is one of my best skills, as I am always looking for a cheaper and alternative ways of introducing new ideas to existing designs and concepts.
