About me

With reference to the Designer position advertised please find attached my CV for your consideration.

I have worked as a graphic designer for over 15 years and until recently held a Senior Designer position with additional Reprographics responsibilities. My company re-located to Wales last month, and I decided to stay in Hertfordshire. I have being doing some freelance work until I find a full-time position.

I have extensive and varied experience including production of brochures, stationery, advertisements, merchandise and point of sale material from concept to final production including printing. Clients I have worked for include Nike, Sky, Debenhams, Boots and Waitrose. I have experience working directly with both internal and external clients.

I consider myself to be an advanced MAC user. My particular strengths are using InDesign, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. I have a basic understanding of html and have undertaken formal DreamWeaver training. I refreshed these skills with a 3 day in-depth course in July and produced my own website.

In my current and previous roles I have held team leader responsibilities including as head of a small department in one previous role.

I enjoy working in a creatively challenging team environment and I am always keen to learn new skills, both in design itself and in the associated software and hardware. I consider myself to have an excellent eye for design as well as being very hard working, methodical and autonomous.
