Calavera is a hand-drawn t-shirt design for 10tacled Clothing, an independent apparel brand that I started in 2013, shortly after graduating from University.

The design is inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead sugar skull motif, but with a tentacled twist. The text refers to Day of the Tentacle, one of my favourite video games from the 90s.

10tacled is an ethical company, which follows a straightforward philosophy – to design and make unique, awesome clothes without the negative social and environmental impact commonly occurring in the fashion industry. 10tacled ranges for men and women are made from sustainable ecofibres such as Tencel, bamboo and organic cotton. Each t-shirt is individually screen printed by hand using high quality water-based inks, which are non-toxic (for both printer and the end user) and have an exceptionally soft-hand feel.
