LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE

I am looking for an exciting career change. Currently I am working for an international transcribing company, Wordwave based in Fleet Street, proof reading and editing court transcripts in real time as they are being produced by the stenographer with the aim of having them sent out to the client in hard copy/e-mail by 6.30 pm - often a challenging and demanding role requiring speed and precision of proof reading; a high level of English grammar and punctuation; with complex, detailed and often sensitive subject matter and technical knowledge of our specialist software.

I feel it is time to move on and face new challenges and combine my editing skills with my creative energies. I am looking for role where I would bring my high level knowledge of English and editing skills and enthusiasm in pursuing a new direction in a fresh and new vibrant environment. Above all, I love working with language and words and anything literary.

Added to this, I have an English degree 2:1 BA (hons), Court editing training, 3 'A' levels. I have done several creative writing courses at the City Lit institute and initally trained as a classical musician.
