I am responding to the advertisement for the interior designer you have placed on creativepool.com. I attach my CV but wish to expand on my particular suitability for this position.

This is exactly the type of opportunity I have been looking for to utilise both my passion and skills for interior design. Over a year ago I was given a unique opportunity to project manage the interior design of an exclusive residential development of grade II listed luxury country houses and apartments. It was solely my job to design the layout and interiors of each unit as well as the exterior and general look of the project. The final part of the job was to completely design, furnish and style a show apartment to set the standard for the rest of the development. It was very important to build up a good relationship with the developers to gain their trust and come up with a design concept that when presented to them, they were happy with and excited by. It was exciting having the canvas of such a traditional and historical building, exposing that but having the rein to incorporate a contemporary style. The project has been very successful and is now on the market and so for me coming to a close. Not only did the project encourage my creativity and design ability but through liaising with the team of builders, developers, architect and various companies it has really developed my maturity in communication and people skills.

Having studied and had the chance to work at the cutting edge of the fashion business in London and Oxford it really developed my creative flair. The course contained the crucial elements of the industry including trend & colour, fabrics, styling, costume & fashion history, design, and magazine design using Photoshop and Quark. This then gave me the necessary grounding to work in the design team of Bora Aksu in London alongside my course. It was a fantastic experience, particularly designing for and being a part of London Fashion Week.

I thoroughly enjoy keeping as up to date as possible with current trends and developments in various aspects of life, which influences my own personal ideas for new concepts. I am fascinated by what you can do with spaces with different designs and thoroughly enjoy watching the transformation through dedication and hard work. As with many things in life first impressions are so important. I believe the images on property details sell the property so it is my aim to make that image as impressive as possible. I like to think I have a very approachable and friendly personality and can communicate well with people of varying ages and backgrounds. I realise I am young, but I am desperate to make my mark, and will do everything I can to do so. I enjoy a challenge and am certainly not afraid of hard work. I really want the chance to move forward from this experience. This job sounds a fantastic opportunity and I truly hope you will consider my application.
