About me

I'm an analytical and self-motivated graduate who for the last 7+ years has designed websites for myself and others for both personal and business use and in the last 2 years started a business and turned over a five figure sum building a loyal customer base in the process. I am now looking for a career in the Digital Design Industry having always had a strong connection and fascination in all aspects of the internet and new media.

Whilst at Portsmouth, I developed my web design skills further in HTML/CSS and the use of Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I also built a knowledgebase around 3D Design and Animation using 3DS Max and V-Ray.

During my time at we are:london, I honed my web/graphic design skills in Creative Suite (including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks). The majority of my work was turning designs supplied by graphic designers into HTML/CSS editing them myself, where necessary. You can see a recommendation from my manager Steph on my linked in page: *

I have a strong knowledge of Adobe CS (Including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks and Flash) with the ability to hand code HTML and CSS, as well as experience with XML, JS and Actionscript2. You can see a portfolio of my work at *.

I have also personally designed and distributed an email newsletter for a client - you can see examples of it here: *

Hardworking, reliable and versatile, having held several jobs in different positions over the last years whilst pursuing education. Through my diverse range of jobs, I have developed a great range of interpersonal skills, involving communication, leadership and team working as well as interaction with the public, which is fine with me!

I am a fast learner and can quickly adapt to different scenarios if not already used to them, working well alone or in a team, changing as necessary when the situation demands.

I feel that I could fit into this role well and the skills I've honed will help me succeed in the position allowing to develop my skills and my career further with you. I hope you feel the same and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,

James Duckett
