About me

I have almost 10 years of experience working in user interface and user experience design. I am currently working as a Senior UX Designer at ParentPay, managing a team of 4 people, mentoring Junior designers, and developing the skills of front-end developers in my team too. I am always looking to develop my skills through various courses, articles, and webinars. I also have a lot of experience with usability testing, which is another passion of mine.

I love sewing in my spare time as I find it a great way to relax, making clothes and gifts for friends and family. My other love is photography, whenever I have spare time I am often found with a camera in my hand capturing my environment and the natural world around me. I really enjoy experimenting with my camera and expanding my knowledge in this area. There are so many things I see that inspire me and photography is a brilliant way to record this.

I'm a very quick learner; since leaving university I have continued developing my skills by taking various online courses through VTC, Lynda, and the Interaction Design Foundation. I have learned to appreciate the developments in software and this has driven me to keep up to date with new techniques. I really enjoy working in a team and like getting to know new people, although I am just as happy working on my own and using my initiative. I am self-taught with HTML and CSS also.
