About me
I am a Dec '09 graduate of Masters of Engineering and Technology
Innovation Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA ,
USA. I also have a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from
Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka, India.
I have taken courses in Human Computer Interaction, Basic
Interaction Design, Communication Design Fundamentals, and Managerial
Economics for Entrepreneurship.
My skills include conducting contextual Inquiries, contextual
design, interviews, ethnographic studies, surveys; creating paper
prototypes, wireframes; evaluating usability via heuristic evaluations,
cognitive walkthroughs, think aloud studies and key stroke level
modeling. On the decision support side I can create cost models, demand
models, decision trees and risk sensitivity analysis along with some
basic strategic analysis. I also can program in C and C++,VB, HTML,
CSS, Javascript, PhP and know very basic Python.
I have used Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Visio
and I'm very comfortable with the MS office suite. I have also used
Adobe Captivate and CMap mind mapping tool.
I have worked for two years with Infosys Technologies Limited in
India as a software process consultant. I have also interned with AOL,
India for 3 months as a prototype developer, and for a start up in
Pittsburgh called Couchange for 1 month as a company representative at
a venture capital incubator program.
I am currently working as a research assistant staff at Carnegie
Mellon University's Human Computer Interaction Institute.
