About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am very interested in your current Junior Menswear Graphic Designer position, which I saw advertised on the Creativepool website on Friday 22nd of January 2010, I would therefore like to apply for this excellent opportunity as I feel that I would be the right candidate having read therole description.
From my years of practice in the fashion, textiles, and design industry, I have a recognized qualification knowledge through working and many transferable skills, which I hope to continue in developing while learning new skills, as you will notice from my CV. My relevant experiences are my knowledge of fashion & textiles, screen printing, CAD (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator). In addition, I treasure my experimental and creative abilities while I have full understanding of the commercial industry and the skills needed to work within it.
My last role was as a part time studio assistant at Kerdova Print working closely with the designer producing wallpaper and interior textiles through screen-printing, which I feel has developed my use of colours, attention to detail, commercial understanding and also understanding of market research. Consequently, I could contribute my acquired familiarity with research and design, at the same time this would be a great opportunity to develop my skills further. Currently I produce my own printed t-shirts label while learning web design but I am ideally looking for a fashion design role such as this.
I set myself high standards of performance, work hard and always strive to do my very best within everything I do and feel that I would definitely comply with your requirements. Further more, I have many experiences of working to strict deadlines in a team and on my own while maintaining a high standard of work, and appreciate the importance of time management.
Please find enclosed my current CV and samples of my work, which I hope shall meet your demands. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Owusu-Ansah
