ABOUT

MA Creative Practice for Narrative Environments.

Britain's Disappearing Coastline is an audio guide walk for 7-11 year old children, which included stories from fictional and real animal characters. The event was set in 2100, when the sea levels have already risen.

The children, follow the specially designed map and listen to the stories using an MP3 Player. The characters explain their stories, and asks the children to perform activities such as looking for illustrated animals and architecture, make a float and find food that was made with the local ingredients. After each story and activity, they stamp the map. At the end of the walk, the children are asked to fill out a worksheet which reflects on their future, and how they might live.

I designed the event, story and characters. I collaborated with a scriptwriter, and Graphic Designer who designed the map, worksheets and illustrated the animals. I recorded the voices of characters, illustrated future water based- architecture and composed the audio guide.
