About me

I am looking to enter a new role as a copywriter and copyeditor in a marketing and/or communications environment. With over two years in a communications agency environment I have gathered an extremely varied portfolio that demonstrates my abilities in drafting and editing copy for publication. I have also gained invaluable skills such as adaptability, commercial awareness and client, project and time management. Although I would like to continue to work in a similar environment, I would also like the opportunity to indulge my passion for drafting, editing, arranging and styling the written word. I have always been extremely passionate about the English language and developed a technical understanding of the subject during my English Language, Literature and Culture degree, BA (Hons.). In my current role, I have developed a reputation as a skilled and trusted writer, proof reader and copy editor. I assist my colleagues with written materials on a daily basis and journalists frequently print my copy verbatim. I feel that my previous experience, and all of the above skills and attributes, would lend themselves extremely well to this position and I am excited about the prospect of offering all my strengths in one role.
