About me

Online Portfolio: *, and the relationship between the importance of aesthetics and the necessity of social responsibility regularly informs my work. Having recently completed my degree I am now looking for employment. The multi-disciplinary nature of the BA (hons) Design program allowed experimentation across all fields of design and exploration of the philosophical implications of design in society. My current design practice seeks to question the relevance of craft in contemporary society. By designing tools to enable creative expression during times of unproductivity, through the appropriation of crafty spaces, I aim to demonstrate craft's many benefits. This exploration included a trip to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as part of an ethnographic study into craft practice in a context outside of the Western World. This project was recently exhibited in Pirate Utopias at the Truman Brewery.
