About me

I am a Graphic Designer currently working in the British Library Design Team. I joined the British Library in October 2005 and in that time I have developed a solid body of work, supporting the institution in national press and marketing campaigns including exhibitions and product launches. Material I have produced in this time includes internal and external leaflets, brochures and posters, national advertising, large format graphics, exhibition graphics, signage and high-end strategic documents and reports, all working within and implementing our corporate brand guidelines.

One of my main duties within the Design Office is the merchandising range for sale in the British Library Shop. In respect of major exhibitions, as well as for many of our collection items, I am in charge of the design and production of products such as greetings cards, postcards, stationery, bags and crockery each with its own bespoke packaging.

We are a small but very busy studio, with a large number of clients and a high turnover of work. I am flexible with my time and prepared to go that extra mile to see a project though to a successful conclusion. I attend briefing meetings and understand the importance of tight deadlines. I feel that working in an institution such as the British Library has provided me with ideal experience for the position you wish to fill.

Thank you for your time and I do hope that you will consider me for this position.
