About me
Dear Sir/Mdm,
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the Head of Digital role. I am very interested in the position and have attached my CV for your consideration.
In my last role as Web Development Manager at the Crafts Council, I was hired to assess their existing online offerings and help shape digital strategy. On a day-to-day basis, I managed the relationship with various service providers, including digital agencies, asset management system providers and hosting solution vendors. Internally, I provided training and advise to colleagues on systems usage, web stats analysis and the introduction of social media.
During this time, I migrated the main website to a new server which saw a 70% increase in site speed and 40% increase in unique visitors. Phase two of this migration, currently under way, was the migration to a new CMS selected for being exceptionally robust and user-friendly and hence far more palatable to colleagues than previous platforms. The modular nature of this CMS also appealed to the senior management team as it allowed easy revamps going forward.
In addition to the main website, I also instigated the launch of 5 other microsites for various projects and initiatives. While 2 of these are currently on an invite only access, I am happy to provide the URLs upon request.
As a digital native, I keep myself well informed and abreast of new technologies and trends, helping to keep a competitive advantage in a fast moving market. My experience in the private sector ensured that content is always engaging and reflective of audience interests.
I believe my experience, skills, aptitude, work ethic and values will be a tremendous asset to your client, enhancing the myriad possibilities provided by the opportunities on offer.
Thank you again for your kind consideration. I look forward to discussing my skills and competencies in greater detail and am available for an interview at your convenience.
Yours sincerely,
Jit Pey
