This story is a tribute to the Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Indians who struggle with the extreme coastal erosion of Louisiana and the painful decisions they have had to make.

"A tribal home disappears beneath the surface. Some are brave enough to leave, others loyal enough to stay. Eventually, everything erodes into nothing and the memories pool in the swell. From beyond the blue horizon, one man returns to his island home to reminisce on the banks of the now saltwater bayou."

I believe that we can use art to effect positive change in the world, and sharing stories of those affected by climate change and using funds raised by sharing those stories to support positive environmental organisations such as ClientEarth is my offering.

I have really enjoyed putting this story together and I feel like I have gotten to know the inhabitants of Isle de Jean Charles whilst researching this story. It is hard not to connect with them when you see the documentaries of their homes disappearing & the effect that oil drilling and hurricanes have had on their ancestral island.
