About me

Please allow me to introduce myself:

My name is John Buckland and I currently work at Eprintfinancial in Curtain

Road, London, on the Nightshift, working on City financial documents and Report

& Accounts, also taking in work from outworkers in different sectors such as

bookwork from Intype Libra and Government work from GWS in the West End and

overflow work from Perivan and Sterling Financial.

I have worked at Eprint for 9 years as Night Manager, overseeing incoming work

and then delegating it to other operators, being fully hands-on doing all

aspects of the work myself, including troubleshooting for problems and errors,

dealing with client lawyers by telephone and email, this also entails sending

work to New Zealand and Scotland, as we have a home working set up where

everyone has an iMac at home connecting to our central server.

This work is mainly in QuarkXpress 7.5 using the Blacklining extension, but all

aspects of DTP is used such as Adobe CS3 in logo/artwork redrawing and

chart/graph recreation.

Also using the Pitstop Pro plug-in for Acrobat, having written my own scripts

for use with removing/restoring Blacklining. I can also enhance pdfs such as

page reference links, contents linking and tagging for the blind, etc.

Previously working at Broadway Communications for 12 years and leaving to join

Eprint just before Broadway was taken over by Lowe, becoming Lowe-Broadway, I

worked on the nightshift, eventually achieving Night Manager,
