About me

I am enthusiastic with lots of energy, talent and ambition and would be a valuable asset to your company.

I graduated earlier this year from University West of England, where I studied Graphic Design. My interests lay strongly within print, where I have the opportunity to utilise my photography, illustration and collage skills. However, I am keen to become a more well-rounded designer and gain expertise in web design, as it is such a strong part of the industry. My course taught me a lot about the conceptual side of design, and often our work was judged more on the idea and communication rather than the design itself. Outside of my degree I have had the opportunity to work on a few freelance pieces. I have enjoyed these experiences hugely as each one gave me an insight into client-agency relationships.

Apart from my work experience with a design and print agency, all my previous employment positions have been working directly with the general public. These jobs (Home-carer, Waitress, Sales Assistant, Nanny, Cleaner) have given me strong communication skills, diplomacy, the ability to see different view points and a lot of patience! I think these four attributes can only help me further in the design world. I believe that my interpersonal skills, together with my ability to create different ideas and the desire to make practical design, have given me potential to work well as a Graphic Designer and/or in a creative team for a design or advertising agency.
