About me

Having graduated in July 2008, I have since been seeking an architectural assistant placement. This will enable me to meet the work requirements as set by RIBA before pursuing the next phase of study towards qualification.

During the course of my degree studies, I gained a wealth of skills which I am keen to put into practice in a professional environment. The various modules undertaken have provided an excellent foundation. One of which was Studio Design and this involved projects that required a challenge to develop designs incorporating formal, spatial and technological qualities. This had to include conceptual, structural, environmental and health and safety aspects.

I have developed an awareness and interest in technology applied to building construction and functionality and implications of cutting edge design and construction using modern technology to meet exacting standards.

Additional modules of the course included environmental science, history of architecture and planning, urban studies, computer aided architectural design and practice management. These provided me with a sound grounding to support and strengthen my application. The degree gained enhances my appreciation of aesthetics, spatial awareness, technology and significantly think three dimensionally.
