About me

I have an NCTJ qualification, with nearly two years experience of working as a Journalist. My specialities include, B2B, Press Office work, sub editing, feature writing and designing layouts. I have the ability to write in any style and can work under pressure. I have an eye for detail and a creative flair.

As you can see from my CV I feel that I have the neccessary skills you are looking for. I have an NCTJ which I obtained last January 2009. My NCTJ enabled me gain the skills in how to write a press release, articles as well as learn about Quarkxpress, Photsohop and Podcasts.
I have experience of working in fashion and beauty - writing fashion articles for an online magazine called Quaintmagazine.com and for More Magazine where I was in charge of the smooth running of samples, wardrobe and updating the press contacts database. I am passionate about fashion and beauty and have always wrote voluntary articles for many magazines.
At the moment I am just temping as a copywriter for a multimedia company, which involves writing and researching contents for the websites; such as blogging ands SEO articles. At Save Me A Ticket.com I have the free rein to write the blogs and come up with blog features, as well as at wahanda I often came up with blog ideas as well as promotional emails.

I have an excellent understanding of the importance of social media and how to engage with the target audience. For example at Save Me A Ticket, I use Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as forums and press releases to target audiences and as a way to drive traffic to the website. I also am in charge of maintaining and editing site contents of the site, by using CMS, thus I have an understanding of html.
I have experience of working as a Press Officer for the National Assembly For Wales. It involved writing and distributing press releases, building up relationships with various media outlets and journalists, as well as implementing the Minister's communication strategy by offering media advice and communication advice.
Since university I have always been involved in journalism; I wrote for the student newspaper, taken work experience at many various magazines and press agency's such as Cavendish Press.
