ABOUT
Challenge
Indiana Jones is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema, so when the Bethesda team approached us with a brief to create extra eyeballs and excitement in the lead up to launch of the long anticipated Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Game Launch, we knew we had to think big.
To mark the impending launch of the occasion, and broaden eyeballs - for the first time in history a gaming franchise took over the livery of a Formula One Car. Off the back of enormous recent audience growth in the Americas, there was no better time or setting with the upcoming Austin Grand Prix, to bring to life this world's first with the Indiana Jones IP.
Solution
An EPIC livery to celebrate a globe-trotting adventure based IP couldn't be revealed by just any means. We opted to breathe fresh oxygen into the flashy (often over CGI'd) world of Formula One Livery reveals by crafting a real 20ft Long, 6ft high WW2-styled wooden crate to 'transport' the car to race day. Taking in the length and breadth of some of the most stunning locations in the US.
Not only did we make this reveal very much REAL, we further zigged where others zagged and opted for a photography-teaser campaign working with adventure photographer Forrest Mankins and his team to bring the backdrops of the United States to life to show the scale of the adventurous trip to the Circuit of The Americas for the Alpine Car and it's one-off livery.
The Adventure covered over 1,500 miles, calling at 7 incredible locations shot, edited, and posted all within a 12 day window. We combined a rolling swiss-army knife of a production crew to turn around jaw-dropping content to break the F1 internet in the lead up to the big race.
