ABOUT
Description
I led the creative direction for a range of communications projects for Level Best Enterprises, helping to build a consistent and accessible visual presence across its website, impact reporting and wider marketing materials. Working alongside colleagues across content, strategy and client services, I helped translate the organisation’s people-first mission into engaging digital and print experiences that reflected its values and community impact.
Brief
Level Best needed a design approach that would do more than look professional. It needed to support accessibility, celebrate the creativity of its trainees and enterprises, and communicate its impact clearly to a wide range of audiences, including families, trainees, funders, volunteers, partners and customers. The goal was to create a more cohesive and engaging experience across every touchpoint.
Summary
As Creative Lead, I was responsible for shaping the visual approach across both the new website and the Community Impact Report. The work focused on creating a clear, welcoming and accessible user experience that balanced practical information with human storytelling.
For the website, I directed a modern design system that used strong visual hierarchy, accessible typography, considered colour palettes and engaging imagery to showcase Level Best’s café, gallery, trainee services and four core enterprises. The aim was to create a digital platform that felt intuitive, inclusive and reflective of the organisation’s personality.
The same design principles were carried through into the Community Impact Report, where editorial layouts, infographics, photography, case studies and participant stories were used to bring the organisation’s achievements and community value to life. By creating consistency across digital and print channels, the work helped strengthen recognition and understanding of the Level Best brand.
Successes
The projects helped establish a stronger and more cohesive visual identity across Level Best’s communications. The website provided an accessible platform that supported increased visibility and engagement, while the Community Impact Report became an effective tool for communicating impact to funders, sponsors, partners and supporters.
Through creative leadership and collaborative delivery, the work demonstrated how thoughtful design can help a social enterprise tell its story more effectively, connect with diverse audiences and showcase the positive impact it creates within the community.
