ABOUT
“Fern Flower” is an illustration inspired by Slavic mythology — a legendary plant said to bloom only once a year during Midsummer Night.
Although it does not exist, it has been symbolically associated with luck, transformation, and the pursuit of the unattainable.
This project explores the space between nature and imagination, combining a botanical aesthetic with a more symbolic and slightly surreal visual language.
Created as part of a design submission for an apparel brand, the concept was developed with a strong focus on real-world application.
The illustration was designed to function not only as a standalone artwork, but also as a visual element adaptable to clothing and accessories.
To support this approach, a series of mockups was created to present how the motif could translate into wearable formats such as t-shirts, hoodies and tote bags.
The project reflects my interest in combining storytelling, illustration and product-oriented design.
