GAS LAMP Los Angeles

ABOUT

ABOUT THE FILM
The Brand's U.S. launch wasn't about explaining their product; it was about creating a pause that could be felt, shared, and individually experienced. By bringing subtle Eastern sensibilities into everyday moments, A Sip Of Time invites the audience to take a deliberate, collective pause for themselves, offering a quiet counterpoint to the rush of modern life.

THE CHALLENGE
The task was not to introduce a brand, but to create a cinematic language capable of carrying meaning on its own. With no reliance on voiceover, dialogue, or overt messaging, the film needed to communicate tone, intention, and cultural depth entirely through feeling.

THE EXECUTION
Shot entirely on 35mm film, A Sip Of Time treated tea not as a product, but as an atmosphere. Through choreographed camera movements, dramatic lighting cues, and Broadway-esque set pieces, each frame was designed to feel considered, intimate, and lived in; mirroring how the brand already exists in the lives of its global audience.

The film stars recent Grammy winner, Laufey, and features a remixed version of her track "Carousel," adding a musical layer that amplifies the campaign's cinematic, immersive world.

WHY IT MATTERS
In a market obsessed with clarity and scale, the brand arrived quietly and confidently. The film demonstrated that cultural translation doesn't require simplification.

A Sip Of Time rethinks how global brands enter new markets; not by telling audiences who they are, but by creating space for audiences to arrive there themselves. It's a film that signals a shift toward cultural fluency over cultural explanation and turns product filmmaking into cinematic craft.
