Concept

Additive-X is a UK B2B full-service reseller for 3D printers, covering online product sales, in-house printing, team training and technical support. They were already growing fast with us, online sales had jumped 132% year on year from 2023 to 2024 under our full-service marketing and web support, but neither of us wanted to coast on that. The goal we set for 2025 was clear: hit £3 million in online turnover by year end. To get there we had to find what was still holding growth back, and three things stood out. The site was getting slower to load, the user experience was optimised in patches but clunky overall, and the site wasn't ranking for some deeper, high-value product terms.
Execution

We worked the problem on three fronts. On speed, we migrated Additive-X to a dedicated Fasthost server, completing the full site copy, testing and launch within 14 days and bringing average full-page load down to 2.5 seconds, alongside image and video optimisation and spam traffic management. On experience, we ran a programme of on-site optimisations: clearer per-product delivery estimates, smarter category filters to cut clicks to cart, above-the-fold category and CTA work, better product comparisons and 'what's in the box' detail, cleaner redesigned product pages, and product-page upsells to lift average order value. On search, we built an automatic category integration that assigns products to the right category by rule, letting us spin up focused, keyword-targeted category pages fast and cutting manual work for the Additive-X team, backed by keyword research, mass content generation and reworked existing category content. All of it sat on top of the SEO, PPC, social, email, lead generation and print channels our marketing team had built over previous years.
Results

We beat the target. Additive-X closed the year at £3.3 million online turnover and is still growing. Year on year, 2025 against 2024, that came from 21% more traffic, a 32% higher conversion rate, 74% more purchases and 60% more revenue. The server move alone earned a 10/10 from the client, and at a reseller event in Germany their site was held up on screen as a best-in-class example.
