About me
Just like many designers soaking into their inspirations, I am no stranger in being influenced by different design styles and artists. I am inspired by the clarity and structure of Bauhaus and Swiss design, particularly their use of grid systems and typographic hierarchy. In contrast, the raw energy and bold experimentation of 1970s punk design encourages my use of texture, contrast, and chaotic compositions. I am also influenced by the work of Junji Ito, whose equally unconventional compositions demonstrate how visual structure can guide pacing, tension, and storytelling.
Storytelling is essentially at the core of my design practice. I am interested in how the thoughtful combination of image, typography, layout, color, and composition can create harmony while communicating a clear and interesting narrative. Strong design can convey intention and meaning without having to rely on words, and I strive to use that strength to support and elevate the tone and stories behind brands and ideas. Working across illustration, graphic design, and branding, I aim to create fun and vibrant work for both print and digital spaces.
My goal is to capture the core message and mission of a brand, creating visuals that resonate with audiences and encourage emotional connection. I believe that a brand goes beyond just aesthetics and superficiality, for it is meant to build relationships between people and ideas. Observation and research are the foundations to my process. I begin by studying the context, audience, and intent of a project, followed by brainstorming through sketching, mood boards, visual exploration and being inspired by other's works. From there, I refine concepts through experimentation, iteration, critique, and feedback, developing visual systems that communicate clearly and effectively while maintaining a strong sense of character.
