Metallic Abyss is a conceptual still-life photography series exploring silver as both material and metaphor. Created as a personal project, the work examines the tension between strength and fragility through sculptural jewellery, controlled studio lighting, and minimalist composition.

Rather than presenting jewellery as an object of adornment, the series isolates each piece within an atmospheric space where shadow, reflection, and negative space become integral to the narrative. Deep burgundy tones and cool metallic highlights evoke a sense of depth, allowing the jewellery to emerge as if suspended within an abstract void.

The project draws on principles of editorial still-life photography and luxury campaign aesthetics, using light as a sculptural tool to reveal texture, craftsmanship, and materiality. Each composition is carefully constructed to transform commercial jewellery into a contemplative study of form, process, and presence.
