About me
I'm a London-based illustrator and animator with over eight years of professional experience working across animation, illustration, motion graphics, theatre, film, and live performance. My practice is rooted in visual storytelling, often exploring themes of migration, identity, belonging, and resilience.
I work comfortably from early concept development through to final delivery, creating illustrations, storyboards, character designs, and animated sequences for stage, screen, and digital platforms. My projects range from research-led animations for universities and international organisations to music videos, public artworks, graphic novels, and large-scale theatrical productions.
Alongside screen work, I have extensive experience in theatre and live performance, contributing as an illustrator, 2D animator, and assistant stage/scenic designer. I enjoy collaborating closely with directors, designers, researchers, and producers to translate complex ideas into clear, emotionally engaging visuals.
A significant part of my practice involves community engagement and education. I regularly facilitate illustration and animation workshops with refugees, migrants, and young people, using creative tools to support storytelling, confidence, and collective expression. This social and collaborative approach strongly informs my creative work.
I'm fluent in both English and Persian and work across a wide range of tools and workflows, including Adobe Creative Suite, TVPaint, Toon Boom Harmony, and hybrid 2D pipelines. Whether working independently or as part of a larger team, I value thoughtful collaboration, clarity of communication, and work that connects with audiences on a human level.
