About me

I have just returned from a four month internship as a travel reporter in Ecuador. During this time I wrote articles on emerging political issues, specifically the FARC and Columbian border issues. I also took a keen interest in the music scene and covered many concerts and events around the country. These articles were published on an online travel journal specifcally geared towards tourism in Ecuador. My wish is to carry on along this path and gain more experience within the field of journalism or broadcasting.

I recently completed a Drama and Theatre studies degree at Trinity College Dublin and while there wrote for the Trinity News Culture Section on fashion. I was particularly interested in this field due to my work as a costume designer for the Samuel Beckett Theatre. I costumed a number of major shows over four years and understand the world of design. However, my interest would be to write about this arena rather than actively take part as a designer.

I have written a number of short plays and wrote and directed a short film which was screened in Dublin. I hope to develop my writing skills and contribute something to the journalistic field.
