About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having just returned from a year travelling I am now extremely keen to get back to work in a role that will build upon my existing skills and offer me the chance to work in a challenging, creative environment. Before my year away I worked for over a year as an editorial coordinator where I was responsible for commissioning content for five medical journals. Excellent communication skills to ensure author care were a fundamental part of my work and I quickly learnt to adapt my method of communication and the formality of my language depending on the party I was communicating with (be it a Senior Editor, a commissioned author etc).

I feel the role of a copywriter would offer me an excellent opportunity to utilise my strong proofreading skills and my creative writing skills. The ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task were vital in my role at Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins to ensure the timely publication of my journals and I enjoy the challenge of striving to complete my work within a given timeframe.

I am available to start work immediately and would love the opportunity to move into a copyediting role.
