About me

I was born in Northern Romania two years after the Revolution. I grew up in a small town with few opportunities, and thus decided to move to Sweden when I was 18, with the support of my parents. I left in pursuit of better education prospects and found what I was looking for at Stockholm University, where I proceeded to get a Bachelor's and then a Master's Degree in English Literature.

During my time there I wrote and published poems nearly every year, in the university literary magazine, Two Thirds North and others. Since then I have worked extensively on a book of poetry and am currently weighing different offers and options in regards to publication.

My lifetime dream, professionally speaking, is to one day be a tenured professor. Until then, however, I would like to lend my skills to the highest bidder. I am a very driven person and I am secure in my abilities. I am what you would call a no-non-sense person. I am very efficiency oriented and I have learned to see past the social performances we so easily put on. This enables me to communicate with ease, especially in team leadership roles.

I am an incredibly hard worker, both by nature and out of necessity. I have dealt with much hardship moving to a foreign country at such a young age, so I have had to learn, adapt, and think on my feet. I do not only think on my feet, but most often out of the box, as well. I like to think that I have my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds. Dream it, plan it, achieve it. Mistakes are an occasion for learning, and while I am not a perfectionist (anymore), I painstakingly regard every aspect of an assignment - sometimes to the annoyance of more laid-back colleagues. I excel at deeply researching any topic also, and while I prefer to think visually, I am very flexible in roles where I am respected for my capabilities.

In my private life I keep a tight constellation of good friends - enough to count on the fingers of one hand, maybe. I like to spend my time writing, most of all. I have kept notebooks since 2011, the year I came to Sweden, documenting the past 14 years through poems, journal entries, scrap-booking, drawing and much, much more. I love singing karaoke, and do so once a week, when I take the time to dress up and put on all nine yards of make-up required, I am quite good at rapping actually. I also have been dancing for 3 years now with a company called KpopNonStop. I've had the privilege to dance to incredible group choreographies and form meaningful relationships with dancers of all ages. I also enjoy photography, but have not brought out my DSLR in years now, as I have switched to amateur modelling instead.

I adore debating, brainstorming, bouncing ideas back and forth and finally bringing forth something new and unique into the world. Lately I have been very depressed due to the lack of visibility that creatives face in the job market today.

Please don't hesistate to contact me about anything - even just to say hi and connect!
