I was approached, as a photographer, to work with Virtual Production tech for Big Sky Studios, Digi Boutique and Elsewhere VP. It was to test stills image making using the LED wall, often used in motion.

I came back with a drinks lifestyle story with a Greek setting as our creative to base our test shoot on. Elsewhere VP provided a selection of Ai generated backgrounds for me to work with the foreground drinks story.

My main test was to see how well we could get our background and foreground to work in harmony. The front wall set needed to make sense with the architecture and lighting had to match the background. Most importantly the subject and cocktails needed to be the focus and the whole image felt lifestyle and "real". The idea being that there's an option to provide this approach of shooting to brands that want lifestyle or options to have a range of backgrounds with an ease to change and be based in a studio.

We shot on Phase One 645XF, Schneider 80mm Lens. We used continuous Aperture lighting, this worked really well and allowed us to fine tune colour balance tones to work with the LED wall scene.

The rest of the image was styled by my dedicated styling team to bring our model and drinks to the story. Creating a beautiful lifestyle drinks series in a Greek holiday setting. Although it was a tech test shoot my main aim was for the result to be about the image rather than the tech and I feel we achieved that in the series.
