About me
A lifetime of writing beginning with a part time job typing up birth announcements and obituaries for Pioneer Press while I was still in high school has included work in public relations, newspaper editing and feature writing as well as freelancing.
An award winner in the National School Public Relations publications competition when I was Director of Public Relations for Maine Township High School District 207, I have honed my writing skills since then working with multiple clients in such diverse areas as agronomy, the arts, developmental disabilities, devotional writing, legal matters, religion, as well as senior and retirement issues, who frequently tell me that they appreciate my ability to translate specific technical knowledge into user friendly language that communicates. The author of numerous articles on a wide variety of topics published in local and national publications, for ten years, I developed a monthly column and weekly news releases for an agency that provided public relations for The Summit of Uptown, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community.
