The objective of this brand ad was to elevate the Telkom brand from functional, retail-led communication into a more emotive space where we could tell the brand story of connectivity and access for every South African. Thus earning a spot as a beloved brand again.

Authenticity: in the 90-second TVC, the brand marries connectivity with currency in this simple yet smart story. Introducing a young girl who is inspired by her grandmother’s life work and achievements to take up robotics. Paying homage to the Telco’s history and impact on consumers’ lives; from the days of landlines to the internet to present-day possibilities. It’s a story of technology’s ability to connect South Africans wherever they are.
