About me

I have just graduated University with a BA(Hons) degree in Media Production. I previously completed three years study at City College Norwich (CCN) in Creative Media Production; over those three years I achieved a Level 3 and Extended Level 3 and then, a foundation degree by undertaking the 'Media Learning Company' Course. Clients for our Media Learning Company included; Norfolk County Council, Norwich Film Festival, Norwich Music Festival and the University of East Anglia to film their graduation ceremony.

I recently wrote, directed, produced and edited my dissertation short film. I really enjoyed the process of the production and although it was stressful at times, it really solidified my aspiration for this career path. I'm extremely happy and proud of my film and believe it is successful enough to submit into festivals. The result shows my hardworking and ambitious personality as I work very hard to complete it on time and without a budget. The film also piqued my interest in the directing career.

Additionally, I have a high interest in casting and have completed many successful jobs. I have casted for various projects including client-led jobs and short films. Jobs that I have successfully casted for includes, Nottingham County Council promotion videos, short film 'Disconnected' fictional podcast 'Where'd all the witches go', and short film 'Caution to the Cycle'. This shows my flexibility due to the variety of projects. I am very confident with this role.

I have a proven track record of being an excellent team member: Throughout my studies, I have been given the opportunity to work with a variety of people that has allowed me to adapt to some difficult situations. Most recently, receiving discrimination from men in my group. This forced me to compromise decisions as I was supposed to oversee the group. I was able to talk to the other members about my issues and keep the team working so we could complete deadlines. The result was proof of the success of my teamwork skills.
I have experience working with clients and can keep a professional and friendly relationship with them. An example of a client that I have worked with is Nottingham Castle to make social media promotional videos for them. I was the main point of contact in my group, so I arranged dates and meetings with the Castle. I was pleasant through emails and made sure I didn't leave any contact last minute to give them as well as us, less stress. Unfortunately, we didn't get the final client feedback due to the Castle's Trust dissolving but, the feedback through the project was always positive.

I have consistently worked to targets through my time at college and University. I've had to meet deadlines as well as ensuring that the work is of the best quality I can achieve. I do this by maintaining a high level of personal organisation setting myself smaller daily targets. I outline a routine and strive to follow this throughout the task.
I am passionate about Film and TV and really enjoy making media content. This is the career I want, and I will work very hard to get it.
