Concept
To launch a limited-edition boot co-designed by legendary big wave surfer Andrew Cotton and XTRATUF, we developed a branded content campaign that would authentically connect the product to Andrew’s lifestyle, values, and the extreme conditions he faces. The core idea was to showcase the boots as built for the bold, positioning them as essential gear for those who brave the elements—whether on rugged coastlines or in storm-battered surf.

Execution
The campaign was shot across two powerful and emotionally resonant locations: Saunton, Andrew’s hometown in the UK, and Nazaré, the iconic Portuguese big wave destination. We captured a blend of intimate, grounded moments in Andrew’s daily environment, and high-intensity action shots filmed during stormy conditions—some taken from the back of a jet ski to immerse the viewer directly into the chaos of the waves.

Content Deliverables:

A hero video capturing Andrew’s story, lifestyle, and connection to the product.

A series of social media teasers tailored for engagement across platforms

Print and digital ad photography focused on both action and product detail

A dedicated landing page on XTRATUF website to drive product storytelling and conversion

The creative approach combined cinematic storytelling with documentary-style authenticity, allowing audiences to experience the raw conditions the boots were built to withstand.

Results
The campaign generated immediate buzz, both within the surfing community and among outdoor lifestyle audiences. Key results included:

A surge in demand for the limited-edition boots, which began selling out quickly post-launch.

Strong engagement metrics across social platforms, driven by teaser content and launch event visuals.

Increased traffic to the dedicated landing page, contributing to direct sales conversion
