The State of California does not provide a way to check if your pet’s food is actually licensed - so we made one. Treat Leaks publishes a previously hidden list of license holders, obtained through a Public Records Act request. The project advocates for more transparency in pet food and exposes the underreported issue of unlicensed pet food sales in the state.
