About me
Director, shooting PD, editor and colourist with over two decades experience in post production and production in the British Film & TV Industry working in facilities, on location and remote from my production base and post production studio in Hampshire.
I am versatile, dependable & creatively dynamic with great personal skills, the ability to quickly solve problems and the tenacity needed to get any job done.
I have experience writing, directing, producing, shooting, editing, grading, post producing, edit producing, compositing and marketing feature films, documentaries, factual TV, music videos, concerts and film trailers at all budget levels. I offer video production services from pitch to delivery and can provide one service or all.
My studio offers 4k HDR & SDR Offline, Online, Grade, Titles and FX with a second system for overspill, transcoding or even on-set BU/DIT. With over 25 years of experience I am highly skilled at offline and online editing, grading and FX using Avid Media Composer and Davinci Resolve.
I have experience as a self shooting PD/Lighting Cameraman filming GV's, CA's and interviews for documentary projects as well as action and drama for narrative features. I currently shoot with the Sony FX3. Using my experience as a colourist I light and shoot with the end result in mind, saving time and money in post.
My first Directing job as Writer/Director of Fictional Feature 'Gods Acre' was nominated for Best UK Feature Film at Raindance in 2015. I then wrote, produced, directed, filmed, edited, graded and delivered feature documentary 'Intercept: A Century of Signals Intelligence'. This film required condensing a century of GCHQ's history into a feature length format. Followed soon after by 'Built to Win' a biographical feature doc exploring the life of John Surtees, former British racing champion. With extensive research, sensitive storytelling, attention to detail, good interpersonal skills dealing with contributors including Goodwood, government departments, GCHQ and family members, these projects required the full range of production and post production skills I offer.
More recently I worked as DOP and Camera Operator on an Indie horror feature film shot during lockdown. I'm now working with the Director to edit, finish and deliver the film for release.
With endless patience, attention to detail and a lifetime of industry experience I thrive on producing a striking end product with high production values at any budget. With additional support from long time collaborators TRIPTIK offers a broad range of services from conception to delivery.
