WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION
The concept of the collection is about the visualisation of processes of body movements. Through film technologies body movements can be accelerate, slow down or stopped.
When slow motion was discovered in the beginning of the 20s century, it was called "time microscope" by the reason that movings became apparent which were usually invisible for human eye. Time could be visualised and transferred into a picture.
By using multiple exposure with the result of superposed outlines, movements become over lined in sequences. A piece of pattern is produced in duplicated fabric layers, coloured in multiple shades. Through specific cuts of the finished garment every single layer appears again. The colours are a contrast between numbness and motion. Geometrical prints are deformed by scanner technology, which transform into organic shapes and colour aureoles.
ART / PAINTINGS
Inspired by digital technologies such as moving image and slow motion, the artworks morph elements of photography, digital art and painting. They represent at the same time my graduate fashion collection. Artworks are created manually and digitally with design software, acrylic and iridescent medium. Depending on the incidence of light, colours seem to change and to move. The picture is a hybrid of digital and experimental painting techniques.
Media: Digital art, acrylics, iridescent medium on alu dibond board 2mm, with aluminium subframe. Including hooks. Ready for hanging.
Through the subframe on the backside of the artwork the hanging system is hidden and provides a floating effect of the picture.
All Pictures are available for sale.
