About me
As a recent graduate from the Glasgow School of Art I have acquired an excellent range of management and co-ordination skills gained through the study of design, and a range of professional working opportunities.
Throughout my undergraduate study as a part of The School of Design, specifically Visual Communication- Illustration, I have pursued a career in the Youth and Community Arts sector. For a number of years I have worked with various youth projects, and have been involved in the management of youth groups for the past several months. I have an extensive range of specific arts skills including Illustration, Design, Printmaking, Photography, and a wide scope of computer knowledge. I have implemented these specific skills to aid me in the direction of group activities.
Working as a Childcare worker at the Community Central Halls in Glasgow, I co-ordinated and delivered a range of arts projects suitable for children aged between 5 and 13.
I have working knowledge of utilising partnerships with other organisations and initiatives through regular liaison with North West Carers, whom are another project that work closely with the Junior Young Carers, a project that I manage. We regularly assess the children, and also I have to prepare invoices and budget planning for the group.
