About me

An early interest in authoring computer games started with simple sprite based 2D games (constructed in Multimedia Fusion) and progressed to mapping for existing 3D games such as Half Life. This developed modeling and texturing skills that introduced me to more complex 3D modeling with industry standard software 3D Studio Max. I began creating rich 3D pre-rendered sprites for 2D games and explored low poly modeling for real-time rendering. Recently I have investigated compositing animation techniques and achieved realistic production. I also applied my animation skills in web-friendly form with Flash.

With Pascal as an intermediary step I then progressed to Object Oriented programming with C++, with which I have written a variety of programs including a text based adventure game, a chat application using Winsock and a 3D asteroids game written with OpenGL and physics simulation (check portfolio). I have also started learning Java, to enable me to code for multiple platforms, especially portable technologies using J2ME.
