About me
I am writing to express my strong interest in securing a position within the creative sector. With a foundation in BA of Fashion Media, I have acquired a diverse range of tools and skillsets that make me well-equipped to contribute to the success of creative agency. My educational background has provided me with a solid understanding of trend forecasting, business strategies, marketing such as the following processes: ideation, development, strategising and further execution of content creation for social platforms. I have had the opportunity to apply and refine these skills throughout my work experiences.
One notable experience was establishing my own sustainable clothing brand, which was built upon the foundation of collaborative work among local artists within South Africa. I thoroughly enjoyed this sort of creative collaboration. This endeavor allowed me to further develop my skills in various areas, including trend forecasting, marketing, and content creation. Additionally, in my current position, although it serves as a temporary role while I search for a position within my field, I had the opportunity to present my photography to the marketing team. This led to an appointment for a photography project for their sales team, and my work has since been utilized on their social platforms. This experience not only confirmed my abilities but also showcased my proactive and go-getter attitude towards pursuing a career in my desired field.
Currently, I am working at The Red Carnation Hotel Collections, where I have had the opportunity to further develop my communication skills. This role has emphasized the importance of effective collaboration in a creative environment. I have successfully presented my photography work to the marketing team, leading to assignments on various photography projects. This experience has further fueled my drive to pursue a career in content creation.
I possess a strong eye for images and have the ability to communicate visually and through the written word. I am confident that my creative mindset, combined with my technical skills in photography and content creation, would enable me to contribute to Charlotte Tilbury's content team.
