Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to apply for the position of account executive in your company.

I have recently finished and graduated my BA Business Management degree at Kingston University and I am interested in pursuing a career in advertising.

I am hardworking, efficient, innovative, and well mannered. I posses at the very least an intermediate user level of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs, progressing gradually to the advanced level. I am also greatly interested in various creative endeavours and have a passion for entertainment mediums like film, TV and music.

Due to my previous retail and administrative experience, I possess knowledge of what is entailed in providing excellent customer service, and experience of working within teams.

As detailed in my CV, I have worked in two different high street stores where I was required to assist customers with their various queries and requests, and have the ability to work at a fast pace where several customers are to be served.

I have also worked in diverse administrative positions, within a college, where I was required to display the art of multi-tasking through the answering of phones, dealing with queries, sale of books, general paper work and filing. During my final year at university, I worked part-time as an LRC helper in the campus library where working at a consistent speed was a necessity. I believe that by working and studying at the same time I developed a sense of balance; a skill that is always a valuable asset

My last position was as an intern copywriter for Prima Garnett Ogilvy, Lagos. My duties were to produce original copies for campaigns, which included both above the line and below the line media. I also had to create dynamic pay-offs for clients, attend progress meetings and brainstorming sessions, whilst balancing different campaign productions at the same time.

Customer service is an essential part of successful business, and the provision of excellent products. The experience I have gained will enable me to help build and maintain fruitful relationships with clients and reflect their respective needs and expectations in the end product produced by the firm.

I believe the combination of my love of the creative and experience in administration and customer service make me a suitable candidate for this job.
