About me
I am a freelance illustrator, born in the UK and based in Barcelona. Having studied graphic design at Berkshire College of Art, I went on to work as a copywriter at London advertising agency Young and Rubicam for five years. After traveling the globe I somehow wound up in Barcelona and somehow became a caricaturist which I have continued to be for over 20 years. I regularly draw political cartoons and caricatures for newspapers, magazines (clients include El País, El Periódico, El Jueves, The New Statesman, Punch, Private Eye, The New York Observer, Ara, El Punt Avui etc) and on live TV. I have illustrated over 20 books, most recently an illustrated edition of 'Candide Or Optimism' by Voltaire and 'De Ucrania al Mar de la China' by Augusto Zamora as well as my own book (author/illustrator) entitled 'Matamundos' published by Ediciones Akal, 2020, plus a number of children's books. Over the last few years I have animated and edited many simple short satirical videos (30/40 seconds) based on current affairs, shown on Catalan television channel TV3. To compliment my work, I am also regularly hired at international events offering live illustration such as graphic recording/ graphic facilitation. I am fluent in Spanish and Catalan and I have a high level of proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign.
