ABOUT

At least 50,000 Ukrainians require rehabilitation and prosthetic care. One in three of them has sustained injuries to the face or head. Our face is the foundation of our identity and individuality, and after experiencing such trauma, people often withdraw — both from themselves and from society. To help Superhumans patients reconnect with themselves, PrivatBank and Mastercard launched the Faces of Humanity project to raise funds for reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation.
For people with facial injuries to become visible, society must stop looking away and instead accept their new appearance as part of their strength. This inspired an idea centered not on pain, but on resilience — because every person is unique and beautiful, and their scars are symbols of courage, not shame.
This became the foundation for a video manifesto inspired by You Know You Are Human, a poem by Vasyl Symonenko. Its powerful lines became the emotional core of the campaign, reminding us that every face is unique. To express their support, the film was voiced by Serhii Zhadan and Sasha Koltsova, while the project also received pro bono support from 14 well-known Ukrainian influencers.
